Semi-Automatic Welders with Blueprint Reading Skills

Job brief

We’re looking for skilled semi-automatic welders to join our team for work at our facilities or on-site construction projects. In this role, you will assemble and weld metal components using semi-automatic welding techniques with precision and care. Your work is essential to delivering reliable, high-quality infrastructure.

You should have experience with semi-automatic (MIG/MAG) welding, be able to read technical drawings, and work with various types of metal. A steady hand, safety-first mindset, and eye for detail are key.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with your team to ensure timely project completion
  • Interpret instructions and follow work schedules
  • Set up and operate semi-automatic welding machines
  • Read blueprints and technical drawings; take accurate measurements
  • Choose the right welding equipment and method for each job
  • Cut materials precisely using saws or similar tools
  • Prepare parts using angle grinders or other equipment
  • Align and clamp components using calipers, rulers, etc.
  • Weld components in various positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead)
  • Repair structures or components by welding and filling gaps
  • Inspect welds and surfaces for flaws and quality assurance
  • Keep equipment in safe, working condition

Language skills

  • Proficient in Dutch

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a welder
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Willing to work on-site when required
  • Skilled in semi-automatic welding (e.g. MIG/MAG), both fine and coarse work
  • Confident with hand and power tools (saws, calipers, squares, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
  • Knowledge of safety standards and use of protective gear
  • Precision and attention to detail
  • Welding certification (e.g. AWS or equivalent) is a plus
